Student Services

As an online student of Murray State University, you have access to many resources and services. We’re here to help you succeed.

Technology Services

The mission of the IS Service Management, Technology Support Services, and Academic Application Solutions units is to support and enable the Murray State community in the use of and access to technology across the campus and to consult with campus users on the best practices and security requirements of all systems used by faculty, staff and students.

Once you’ve been admitted, we recommend reading this step-by-step guide to getting connected. It contains instructions for logging into MyGate, Canvas, RacerNet and RacerMail as well as establishing passwords and more.

You can contact our Service Desk with any technology-related questions at 270-809-2346 during regular business hours or anytime through our online Service Catalog.

Library Services

As an online student, you will have access to the vast resources of the Murray State University Libraries, which serve as the student-centered learning commons of the university community. We provide traditional and evolving services, collections, instruction and spaces to empower our diverse learners.

Our extensive collection includes almost 200,000 e-books as well as thousands of other electronic media, including journal and database subscriptions, reference guides, theses and dissertations — and much more.

For reference help, you can email or live chat with a librarian. Perhaps your answer can be found on one of our online discussion boards. You can also contact our reference desk via phone at 270-809-2053 or text at 270-681-3811. Plus, we encourage you to connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

The Center for Economic and Entrepreneurial Development (CEED) is an outreach program for the Arthur J. As an online student, you can benefit from experiential learning opportunities through CEED, including training workshops on pre-business orientation, social network marketing, human resource management, strategic planning and more.
